How is it scored, and what passes?
Employers set their own cutoffs — Ramsay reports scores and percentiles to them and doesn’t publish universal pass marks. Aim for accuracy AND pace: with a tight clock, skipping a stumper to bank three easy answers is winning strategy.
What should I actually study?
The classic principle set: torque and levers, pulley mechanical advantage (count the supporting ropes), gear direction and speed (meshed gears counter-rotate; smaller spins faster), hydraulic pressure, thermal expansion, center of gravity, and series-vs-parallel basics. Every one shows up dressed in shop clothes — a wheelbarrow, a valve, a ladder against a wall.
