Homeschool Practice
Homeschool practice & skill assessment
Adaptive academic practice for homeschool families — each skill meets your student at their level, shows the reasoning behind every answer, and charts progress over time.
Homeschool parents juggle two hard problems: knowing where each student actually stands, and finding practice that adjusts to them instead of a grade-level average. Keentune’s per-skill adaptive engine handles both — every skill (arithmetic through algebra and geometry, grammar through reading and writing, the sciences, civics, geography, and history) starts easy, calibrates within a handful of questions, and then serves work at the edge of your student’s ability, with a per-skill level and progress history you can check anytime. Every answer comes with a real explanation — the principle, the tempting mistake, and a rule to keep — so wrong answers teach instead of just scoring.
Use it as a daily supplement, a diagnostic (“where are the gaps in fractions-to-algebra?”), or a runway to the tests many homeschool paths lead through: the ISEE/SSAT for school admissions, the PSAT/SAT/ACT for college, AP subject exams, or the GED. Each of those has its own prep page here. Honest scope: this is adaptive skill practice and informal progress tracking — it is not an accredited assessment, does not produce the standardized-test reports some states require, and is designed for students 13 and up.
Or take a timed drill — 20 questions, 25 minutes
A focused drill on one section under a real clock — not a full practice exam, and never a predicted Homeschool Practice score.

Homeschool Practice practice — FAQ
Can this replace our standardized testing requirement?
No. States that require periodic standardized testing for homeschoolers specify approved tests (like the Stanford 10, ITBS, or state assessments) administered under set conditions — Keentune is not one of them and doesn’t claim to be. What it gives you is continuous, informal insight: a per-skill level and history so testing week never surprises you.
What ages is this for?
Keentune is designed for teens (13+) and adults. The adaptive engine reaches down to genuinely easy material in each skill, so a younger-teen student who is still building fundamentals will find an honest starting point — but the account model and content are not designed for children under 13.
How does the adaptive engine help homeschoolers specifically?
It solves the grade-level problem: a homeschooler who is two years ahead in reading and a year behind in math gets served accordingly in EACH skill, automatically. The first several answers calibrate quickly, then practice stays at the productive edge — hard enough to grow, never so hard it demoralizes — with every answer explained so study time compounds.
Does it prepare students for the SAT, ACT, or AP exams?
Yes — the same skills feed the test-prep pages. When your student is ready, the SAT, ACT, PSAT, ISEE/SSAT, GED, and AP Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Statistics/Calculus/Psychology pages map each test’s sections onto the skills here, so the daily practice and the test prep are the same work.
