Word Flock is a synonym puzzle against a clock. A board of words hides several flocks — small groups of words that share a meaning — and your job is to find every one. Pick the words you think belong together, submit them, and a right guess lifts the flock off the board and shows the meaning its words have in common.
Every board has exactly one way to group all of its words: before a board is dealt, the game checks that no other arrangement fits, so a word that seems to belong to two flocks always has one home that makes the whole board work. A wrong guess costs a few seconds, never the run.
There are five tiers, from everyday words through familiar, stretch and advanced to rare ones, and a new Daily board that everyone plays on the same day. The first three tiers are free with unlimited fresh boards and no account; the top two are part of Keentune Pro.
It runs in a browser and in the Keentune app on iOS and Android, and it is walled off from everything the trainer measures — playing it never moves your skill ratings, your practice streak or your weekly league rank. You earn XP toward your overall Level for clearing a level the first time and for each day’s daily — up to 150 a day across all games.
How to play Word Flock
Sort every word on the board into flocks — groups of words that mean the same thing.
1. Tap each word you think belongs in the same flock — a tap highlights it, and a second tap un-highlights it. There is no dragging: the words stay where they are.
2. When you have highlighted a full flock, press Submit. Every flock on a board is the same size, and the Submit button counts your picks against it.
3. Right, and the flock flies up and shows what it means. Wrong, and the words shake and a few seconds are added — nothing else is lost.
4. On boards with larger flocks a near miss is called out: all but one of your words belong together.
5. On higher tiers a word may seem to fit two flocks. Only one arrangement uses every word.
6. Stuck? “Reveal a flock” solves one at a heavy time cost, so every board can be finished.
7. The clock counts up and nothing runs out. Your time decides gold, silver or bronze, and bronze opens the next level.
Tips for Word Flock
Submit the flock you are surest of first — every flock you clear leaves fewer words to sort.
Say each word’s plainest meaning to yourself before you start matching.
If a word seems to fit two flocks, sort the others first — only one arrangement uses every word.
A quick practice board, then tier 1, level 1 — one true flock is named for you until your first submit.
