Games

Timed puzzles, just for fun — they earn XP, but never touch your skill ratings or practice streak.

About these games

Keentune is an adaptive skill trainer: it serves you practice questions near your current level so the work stays hard enough to teach and easy enough to finish. These games are the other half of that — the break you take between sessions. They are timed, they are short, and they are deliberately walled off from everything the trainer measures. Playing one never changes your skill ratings, your practice streak or your weekly league rank, and losing one costs you nothing at all. You earn XP toward your overall Level for clearing a level the first time and for each day’s daily — up to 150 a day across all games.
Every one is free, and free means free: no account to create, no card to enter, no ads, and no timer that stops until you pay. They run in the browser on a phone or a desktop, and in the Keentune app on iOS and Android. Your best times are stored on the device you played on, so a game works the same whether or not you have signed in.

How each one works

Block Towers. Sort every color back onto its tower — the faster you finish, the more stars. Three levels per tower count, from three towers up to ten. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices planning a few moves ahead.
Word Flock. A board of words hides flocks that mean the same thing. Group them all — your time decides the stars. Five tiers, everyday words to rare ones. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices spotting which words share a meaning.

Dig Site. Dig the safe sand and mark every fossil — each number counts the fossils around it, and every board can be solved by logic alone. Five worlds, each with a new rule. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices deducing which squares are safe from the counts beside them.

Art Matherpiece. Tap the numbers that make the target; every cleared board uncovers a painting, and your time decides the stars. Four operations, twelve levels each. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices mental arithmetic in all four operations.

Trivia Climb. Climb a ladder of trivia questions, each rung harder than the last, with one extra life and two lifelines. A new Daily every day, the same ten questions for everyone. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices answering general-knowledge trivia at rising difficulty.

Wingmates. Two columns of words: pair each word on the left with its mate on the right — the word that means the same, or on some boards its opposite. Your time decides the stars. Five tiers, everyday words to rare ones. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices matching words to their synonyms and antonyms.

Word Perch. Each ladder is a handful of words on one scale — a drop to an ocean, a whisper to a roar. Put them in order from the bottom rung up; your time decides the stars. Five tiers, everyday words to rare ones. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices ordering words that differ by degree along one scale.

Word Hatch. Each egg hides a word. Read its clue, then spell the word from its scrambled letters — your time decides the stars. Five tiers, everyday words to rare ones. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices recalling a word from its definition and spelling it from its letters.

Word Swoop. One word, two choices: swoop on the one that means the same — or, when the banner flips, the opposite. Sixteen of twenty right passes a level, and your time decides the stars. Five tiers, everyday words to rare ones. Every board is timed, and the clock decides how many stars you earn — so a level you have already solved is still worth replaying for a cleaner run. It practices choosing the closer synonym or antonym of a word.
