Art Matherpiece

Art Matherpiece is mental arithmetic wearing a jigsaw. A target number sits in a ring above a grid of numbered tiles; tap the tiles that combine to make it, and the tiles you clear lift away to uncover a famous painting underneath. Clear the board and the picture is yours, with the painter and the title named once it is revealed.

There are four operations — addition, subtraction, multiplication and division — and twelve levels in each, so the arithmetic gets harder at a pace you pick rather than one the game picks for you. Your time decides the stars, which makes it a fluency drill in disguise: the answer matters, and so does how quickly you can see it.

It is free with no account and no card, it runs in a browser and in the Keentune app on iOS and Android, and it is walled off from everything the trainer measures — playing it never moves your skill ratings, your practice streak or your weekly league rank, and a wrong tap costs you only a few seconds. You earn XP toward your overall Level for clearing a level the first time and for each day’s daily — up to 150 a day across all games.

Make the target number out of the tiles on the painting, over and over, until the painting is uncovered.

1. You choose one operation — add, subtract, multiply or divide — and it stays the same for the whole level. Its symbol sits beside the target ring.

2. The target is the number inside that ring. Tap the tiles, one at a time, whose numbers reach it using your operation: two tiles, or three or four on the highest levels. Nothing needs dragging — the equation checks itself once you have tapped enough tiles.

3. Tap a picked tile again to unpick it. For subtract and divide, tap the bigger number first.

4. Every equation you solve lifts those tiles away and uncovers more of the painting. Clear the whole board and the painting is yours, with a bonus for how fast you did it.

5. The clock counts UP and nothing runs out. A wrong set adds a few seconds and the board stays put, so the only thing it costs you is time.

6. Clear the level’s paintings and the run ends there. Your time decides gold, silver or bronze — each level shows all three before you start, and bronze opens the next level.

For add, take one tile away from the target — what is left is what the other tiles must make.

For multiply, try the target’s factor pairs (for 36: 4 × 9, or 6 × 6) and look for one on the board.

For subtract, the tile you tap first is the target plus every tile you take away from it.

For divide, multiply the target by a small tile — if the answer is on the board, tap that one first.
