Wingmates

Wingmates is a synonym and antonym puzzle against a clock. Each board has two columns of words and a banner that names the match: SAME MEANING, or OPPOSITES. Tap a word on the left, then its mate on the right, and a right pair flies off the board.

Every pairing is judged the moment you make it, so each one has to stand on its own: before a board is dealt, the game checks that every word on the left has only one word on the right that fits the banner. On higher tiers the right column can hold a spare word with no mate, and some spares are traps — the opposite of a word on a SAME MEANING board. A wrong pair costs a few seconds, never the run.

There are five tiers, from everyday words through familiar, stretch and advanced to rare ones, twenty levels in all, and a daily of three boards that everyone plays on the same day. The first three tiers are free with unlimited fresh boards and no account; the top two are part of Keentune Pro.

It runs in a browser and in the Keentune app on iOS and Android, and it is walled off from everything the trainer measures — playing it never moves your level, ratings, streak or league standing.

Match every word on the left with its one mate on the right.

1. The banner names the match for the whole board: SAME MEANING, or OPPOSITES. A level can hold several boards, and the banner can change between them.

2. Tap a word, then its mate. Tap another word in the same column to change your pick.

3. Right, and the pair flies off. Wrong, and the two words shake and a few seconds are added — every pairing counts on its own, so check each one.

4. On higher tiers the right column may hold a spare word with no mate — leave it. Some spares are traps: the opposite of a word on a SAME MEANING board.

5. The clock counts up and nothing runs out. Clear every board to finish; your time decides gold, silver or bronze, and bronze opens the next level.
