Practice the thinking and action techniques CBT teaches
The practical techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), learned through everyday scenarios: how a situation, a thought, a feeling, and an action feed one another; catching automatic thoughts and naming common thinking traps such as mind reading and catastrophizing; testing a thought against the evidence and writing a balanced alternative; behavioral activation, which schedules small, valued activities instead of waiting for motivation; how avoidance and safety behaviors keep fear going, and how step-by-step exposure and behavioral experiments put a fear to the test; worry postponement and structured problem-solving; relaxation and breathing used as skills rather than escapes; the parts of CBT for insomnia; and how CBT is practiced, what the evidence shows, and where its limits are. Every explanation names the principle, the tempting myth, and a rule you can carry into the next situation. Distinct from Psychology (the science of disorders and therapies), Emotional Intelligence (understanding emotions), and Mindfulness (attention and acceptance). Educational only — not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.
• Meets you at your level — never too easy, never too hard.
• Adapts every question to how you’re doing.
• Tracks your level over time. Skill practice, not a test.
