Boating Navigation Rules practice

Rules of the road on the water — who gives way
The navigation rules every boater-education exam tests, from the public-domain USCG Navigation Rules (COLREGS and Inland). Master the give-way/stand-on hierarchy and what each vessel must do in meeting, crossing, and overtaking situations (power vs power, sail vs power, sail vs sail), the sound signals (one short, two short, five short danger, and the restricted-visibility signals), navigation lights and dayshapes — reading a light pattern at night to know the vessel type and which side you are seeing — IALA-B lateral buoyage ("red right returning"), safe speed and proper lookout, narrow channels, and conduct in restricted visibility. Every explanation names the classic confusion (stand-on vs right-of-way thinking, the red-over-green light traps) and leaves a rule you can apply on the water. Original questions from public government sources — never items from any state exam or commercial course. Keentune is independent study practice, not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Coast Guard, NASBLA, or any state agency, and does not guarantee a pass. Educational only — not navigation advice for a specific passage.
