Aviation Weather & Regulations practice
Weather theory, METARs, and the FARs
The weather theory and federal regulations a private pilot is tested on, from the FAA’s public-domain sources. Weather: stability, wind and turbulence, clouds and what they warn of, fronts, thunderstorms and microbursts, icing, fog types, and the reports pilots actually read — METARs, TAFs, PIREPs. Regulations: pilot certificates and currency, medicals and BasicMed, VFR weather minimums by airspace, altitudes and right-of-way, fuel reserves, and what the AIM recommends versus what the FARs require. Explanations decode the abbreviation, name the trap, and end with a rule. Original questions from public FAA materials — never actual test items. Independent practice, not flight instruction; always fly by current official publications and your CFI.
